How we meet children’s-product safety requirements for export, the material limits we work to, and the documentation we supply with your order.
Arun Art Printers manufactures to the regulatory requirements of each buyer’s destination market. For children’s books — a specialist line since 2004 — that means meeting US and EU children’s-product safety rules; for every product it means defined in-house quality control. We supply the documentation that buyers and their compliance teams need to clear an order.
US law treats children’s books differently according to format and age group, and we handle both cases directly:
For shipments into the EU, children’s products are assessed against the EN71 safety standard, including the EN71-3 limits on the migration of certain elements. Where a title and market call for it, we arrange the applicable testing per order.
Inks, coatings and substrates for children’s work are selected to meet the applicable lead and phthalate limits. Per-order test reports are available wherever a buyer or destination market requires them.
Every job runs through in-house quality control across pre-press, press and finishing — pre-production proofs and sample approval before the bulk run, with in-process checks on the floor. See our infrastructure, press and pre-press pages for detail.
Tell us the destination market and your compliance requirements with your enquiry. We confirm what applies, arrange any required third-party testing, and supply the conformity statements and test reports with your order. Where a buyer needs a specific certification or audit, we discuss it directly — we state on this site only what we can substantiate.
This page is general information on how we approach compliance. The exact requirements for any order are confirmed with the buyer for the specific product and destination market.
